Making the Manor a Home“St. Martin’s Manor did much more than provide me with a place to live while I was pregnant. They offered me unconditional acceptance. They provided me with life lessons that have enabled me to build a home for my children.” (Former Resident) I invite you to support our Making the Manor a Home project. Established in 1954, St. Martin’s Manor is a Young Parent Resource Centre which offers residential and community based programs for pregnant and parenting young women and their children. Each year, St. Martin’s Manor houses approximately 40 pregnant and parenting young women and their children. In addition, over 300 community young women receive services through our outreach and day programming. St. Martin’s Manor has recently completed a major capital campaign for our new expansion. The existing residence is over 125 years old and in need of substantial upgrading. We were successful in raising over $2 million dollars for the new building which is scheduled for completion in 2008. Our new home will improve privacy and safety which will create a welcoming environment. It will also provide educational and child care support which are essential components for our young women to live independently and successfully in our community. We are asking for your help to furnish our new building and give our young women and their children hope for the future. Please consider Making the Manor a Home by making a financial contribution! Enclosed is our package with details as to how you can assist us. Thank you for your consideration in Making the Manor a Home. Yours truly,
Linda Dayler
