Transitional Support Program

The Young Parent Transitional worker connects with young parents, both moms & dads in the east end of Hamilton, to help support their academic success. This is achieved in different ways and may include assistance with:

• problem solving poor school attendance
• re-integration to community or alternative schools
• advocacy within the school
• obtaining child care
• accessing basic needs such as food, clothing, diapers & finance
• referrals for housing and other supports
• emotional support
  
  

Community Presentations

Young Parents and Team members are available to provide presentations about the realities of parenting as a young person including the barriers to service and available resources.
